After completing her training as a Geologist, in Canada, Stephanie began pursuing her love for nature, by working as an Environmental Engineer.  Year after year, seeing the incredible destruction and devastation humans have on the Earth, continued to fuel her dreams of living a simpler and more sustainable life.  Around the same time, she began kitesurfing (using the wind, and a kite, to surf), and became fascinated by the power of nature.  Through kitesurfing, she met many amazing individuals from around the world, who shared her love for the ocean, traveling, and following dreams.  Stephanie became so inspired, being surrounded by positive people, that she was determined not to let the fear of failure and judgement, stand in the way of making her dreams a reality.  She made arrangements, with the company she worked for, to allow her to work from her computer at home.  This would enable her to continue to have a positive influence on the environment, while having the opportunity to live in different countries.  After travelling around the world, she settled in Spain, and often goes back to her home in Canada, to visit family and friends.

Stephanie hopes to develop as a designer, and see Makani Dream Swimwear thrive, so she can continue to inspire the fun, sporty, and confident girl to live her own dreams.
